Rarely used but sometimes necessary. This delivery option will usually take between 4-6 weeks to receive your refund. A check is mailed to the taxpayer directly from the IRS.

Direct Deposit
The best and fastest way to receive your refund. You simply provide proof of your bank routing and account number. The bank account must be in your name. The IRS issues more than 9 out of 10 refunds in less than 21 days.
